We welcome Dr. Rehan Saif as Consultant General Surgery / Clinical Lead for Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery & Transplantation (Liver, Pancreas, Kidney) to VPS Surgical Oncology & Burjeel Cancer Institute. After completing his MBBS and MS from India, Dr. Rehan spent 12 years in the United Kingdom gaining Higher Specialist Surgical Training to complete his MRCS & FRCS. He is UK and European board certified having completed his CCT(UK), FEBS (European Board of Surgery) & European Diploma in Transplantation. He has a special interest in MIS (both laparoscopic & robotic) HPB Surgery having completed further fellowships from UIC, Chicago and Kaohsiung, Taiwan. His areas of expertise include management of hepatocellular carcinoma, complex gallbladder and biliary cancers, benign and malignant pancreatic disease, surgery for portal hypertension and transplantation (liver, pancreas, kidney). He has undergone comprehensive training in all aspects of Hepato Pancreato Biliary disease and Transplantation. In his previous appointment, Dr. Rehan was an integral part of a large multi-center HPB and Transplant program that completed close to 400 liver transplants and numerous pancreas & kidney transplants in addition to complex HPB resections in South India. He also has an active research interest and has published several scientific articles in leading international journals.
